*The challenge phonics list follows the same phonics rule for the week (contractions) with some overlapping words from the Reading Street list mixed with contractions from grades 4, 5 and 6.
*24 Phonics Task Cards are based off of Reading Street's standards and assessments. Questions follow a similar format as to those students are required to test on. These can be used as an independent center, in small group instruction, or a Scoot-Around-the-Room. Answer keys are provided in both paper and QR form. QR codes can be used by the students to self check their own work.
*32 I have/Who Has cards are a ~*challenge*~! My third graders absolutely love this activity but it requires everyone working together and listening to find the correct words. This was designed purposefully to be a higher level thinking game rather than a typical call and response game like I have/Who has cards you may be familiar with.
Note: I highly suggest printing off the answer sheet and having it with you to give the students clues if they get stuck or redirect if they choose the wrong word.
