This Power Point is a guide to help teachers move away from their Reading Street Teacher's Guide, while still addressing all of the information necessary to teach the program with fidelity. I found myself getting off track or losing my train of thought, so I created this Power Point to be my guide. It includes many of the discussion prompts, suggested answers, etc. so that I can project these and share it with my students as we go through the lesson. It also includes links to the pages (I used pearsonrealize.com) so I show the students which page to turn to.
I have also included links to various YouTube videos that support the Conventions - Subject and Predicate - or other activity we are working on. You should be able to click on these links and it will take you to the video to add some variety to the lesson. I found it a nice break for students, and the slideshow provided a way for me to have it all in one place instead of toggling back and forth between browser tabs.
Some of these will have links to BrainPop, which is a subscription site. These can be skipped if you don't have access to this, they are simply used as enhancers to the lesson.
