This is meant to be a companion guide to the Reading Street story, Jim Thorpe’s Bright Path. After teaching in a Title I school in a sheltered instruction classroom for English Second Language students, we are never satisfied with the resources they have for our low SES and ESL students. They need more description and visuals. That’s what this packet is for, but all students will benefit from the additional instruction.
Vocabulary: poster with picture, definition, and picture of each word
Amazing Words: poster with picture, definition, and picture of each word
Vocabulary memory game, foldable, and a skills sheet

These resources help better prepare your students for the skills they are held accountable for on the test. We hope this helps you as well!
