This game allows students practice sight word recognition at a rapid pace. This game is great for improving reading. I found if students play this game regularly they will do better reading stories on their own. The game is played by the teacher keeps the cards in her hand, she puts one at a time down the student to say the word, gets to keep the card. The student with the most cards at the end of the game wins. You can play two ways: if the "crash" card appears the game stops and the game starts over. Or what I found is that children just like shouting "crash!" and you can continue until you get through the whole pile. There are blank cards for you to add other sight words that you think are important.
