This unit contains 36 sheets for home practice of the Reading Street Kindergarten student readers (2013). There is one take-home paper for each of the 36 units in this program. Each story has a colorful picture, related to the story content. There is a box with directions and a place for adults to initial, after listening to their child read the story twice each day, four days each week. If the stories are too difficult in the beginning, the adult can read the story to or with the child. By the end of the week, the student will have a clear understanding of the story and the phonics, punctuation, content, and relationship to the reader. Using this procedure each week, will build reading fluency and increase student reading skills. This is an excellent supplemental resource to help teachers make the most out of this reading program.
