We are asking today’s students to write more and more. It’s important that students practice fluent handwriting, so that their brain is freed up to think about what they want to write. I created this packet using the Reading Street “Street Rhymes” at the beginning of each week. We read the poem together and then they write the poem, while I time them for 1 minute, and then they count the number of letters and punctuation they write correctly and clearly. I have included graphs so they can watch their growth!
