I love how books take us on great adventures - from Ancient Egypt to New York City, from Australia to Moscow, Russia, and EVERYWHERE in between! CELEBRATE the adventures and places that books take us to in your classroom this year with this interactive bulletin board and craftivity!
Start by printing out the READING banner, with its fun, vintage maps on it.
Then, choose the rest of the bulletin board letters - colors, maps, or black/white!
Cut and laminate all the letters, and hang them in a special spot in your classroom. (BONUS! This can stay up ALL YEAR! No more having to switch out your bulletin boards!)
Finally, choose an option (or do both!):
1. Hang up a map underneath it with pushpins or stickers for students to mark where in the world their books take them.
2. Engage your students with an open-ended craftvity. Color, cut, and assemble their luggage with writing paper underneath. Students can write books they want to read on them. Or give book recommendations for their friends! There are three options for writing paper for all levels!!
Either way you choose to go with this, your students will get a lot out of this fun classroom piece all year! It goes perfectly with a travel-themed classroom, but would look great no matter what your colors/theme!
Have limited space? NO PROBLEM! Just print all of the letters 2 on a page!
Prep this now for easy set up during Back-to-School!! Enjoy logging all of your class's many adventures through books this year!
