This is a simple graphic organizer for students to use with a story or article (fiction or nonfiction) from their reading textbook. This is meant to be an independent activity (on the front) followed by a partner discussion (on the back).
The front side includes sections for the title and author, three events or facts from the story, one vocabulary word and its definition, the author's purpose, and the student's rating of the story.
The back side asks the student to discuss their story with a partner who read a different story. There are sections for the title of their partner's story, one event or fact, and three similarities and three differences between the two stories.
