This Reading Thinkmarks Poster guides students during their reading to think about their connections to the text. It is important for students to listen to their thinking voice while they read and explain what that voice is thinking. The poster guides the students on how to use Post-it flags and interact with the text. Students are asked to identify parts of the text that make them LOL, have questions, are left wondering, and more. The poster could be used during whole class instruction by interacting with text on an interactive whiteboard, students text books, overhead projector, or even big books. This activity could also be use in pairs or during literacy work stations.
