Reading Warm-ups – Blasts! – Paired Passages #2 – Grade 6 – Passages and Questions is a set of nineteen short, paired, reading passages coupled with four or more multiple choice questions that assess student knowledge and performance on grade six reading objectives. Each individual warm-up is designed to be used as a short daily reading practice. Students read the paired passages and answer questions based on the passages. Both fiction and nonfiction passages are included in each series. Some pairs include an expository passage with a poem, two stories paired together, two literary nonfiction passages paired together, and other pairs. An answer key and a matrix of reading objectives showing which passages include which objectives and for which questions are provided.
