From Joshlynjill: This Reading Workshop Packet includes three different "documents" to be implemented in a reading workshop, literacy lab, or in literature circles. The first page is a "Books I Plan to Read" page which is used for to write down books that children find interesting in the classroom (or school) library and that they plan on reading. This is helpful since students only checkout a few books at a time and can keep a record of books that they would like to read throughout the year. The second page is a "Book Pass" page that is used at different times in the year when students pass the book baskets around and search out books they see that catch their eye or don't catch their eye. This can be helpful in finding out what genres specific students are interested in. The third page is a "Weekly Reading Summary" page. This page has Monday-Friday sections for students to write down a few sentences about the books they are reading during Reading Workshop. Each of these documents can be used as mini-lessons during the beginning of the school year. These documents were created with Mac's Swift Publisher and Microsoft Word. The "titles" on each page are jpeg files so you do not have to worry about having specific fonts downloaded for these files to have the same appearance.
