Reading a Graduated Cylinder Activity Measurement

Description
A hands-on measurement activity for reading and using graduated cylinders that uses bottles of water colored with the three primary colors. As long as you have graduated cylinders and small cups the activity is easy to set up for and students just LOVE the experience of measuring the volume of liquids. Surprising and beautiful color patterns can be made using gradients measured by reading the graduated cylinder.
The packet includes teacher information sheets and data tables for color gradients that students could incorporate into interactive lab notebooks. A set of color cards that can be used for assessment is provided (lamination recommended).
This resource is also found in a Graduated Cylinder Resource Packet which contains 24 task cards and print and use worksheets.
