Reading activity to help struggling students understand basic biotechnology such as genetic engineering and how it differs from Selective Breeding. This reading activity will engage students in a text evidence based reading comprehension.
Reading includes students ability to understand "tradeoffs" with both processes.
Suggested teaching strategy: Students work in groups of two and read each paragraph one by one. Ask students to use the FUN strategy where they will, "Find" the answer to the question in the text, "Underline" the answer in the text and place a "Number" next to the question that this sentence will answer.
