Reading Interactive Notebook Flaps.

You will find 90 interactive notebook flaps with directions, 5 blank flaps with directions, and 5 blank flaps without directions. The blank ones are there if you would like to add your own.

Each sheet has directions on them to help students with cutting and gluing them into their notebooks. I made the basic 5 types of flaps to make it easy for students to cut them out. I prefer that most of the time is spent on interacting with and completing the flaps rather than cutting and assembling them.

The notebook flaps can be completed as a class, during small groups, independently, during reading centers, or during read-alouds. They will work with picture and chapter books!

Choice Boards – Responding to Reading.

• I use choice boards with my small groups, and to hold my students accountable during independent reading.

• The choice boards can be teacher or student selected.

• My students are given the half sheet choice boards so that they can glue them in their reading journal. I typically tell them how many choices they are required to complete and then they color in the boxes as they answer the question in their journal.

• I have also included full page choice boards if you choose to have your students staple their responses to the back of their choice board and turn it in to you.

You will find the following 20 choice boards included in this resource:

*Predicting – Fiction

*Inferring – Fiction
