Description

With this 26-slide digital resource, students will practice and review identifying the location of points on the coordinate plane. Then, students will graphing points on the coordinate plane. They will use the fun movable pieces provided to engage in the activities. They can even create their own problems with the templates I've provided.

These activities are perfect for distance learning, math centers, and differentiation. I've also included a pdf version for teachers who wish to print the activities.

In this resource:

- Students will read x and y coordinates on a plane

- Write the ordered pairs of points on the grid

- Measure the number of units between objects on the grid

- Use a legend to help identify objects' locations on the grid

- Drag movable pieces to specific locations on a grid

- Create your own using a template

Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., 𝘹-axis and 𝘹-coordinate, 𝘺-axis and 𝘺-coordinate).
