Use this template graphic organizer to have students keep track of blends, digraphs, parts of speech or whatever reading or language arts skill that you want them to find while reading independently, in small groups, or in whole group. Just change the headings to represent what skill you are reinforcing.
What I usually do is ask my students to find words that correspond to the skill I am teaching while reading a book during independent reading time and record it on this chart. This particular template was used to teach ch, sh, wh, and th. My students could pick any book they wanted to read and were supposed to write down the words they found with those letters in them.
