This starter kit comes with 9 great centers that you can use all year. The centers are created to be independent centers during the English Language Arts learning time for students in grades third, fourth and fifth. The main focus of these centers is to focus on reading response and vocabulary/word work.
These centers can be applied to ANY book in ANY classroom for ANY kiddo. You can use the centers to have students respond to their guided reading books, literacy circle books, aread aloud books, independent choice books, basal reading, a news article, Time for Kids, Scholastic News, etc. There are activities that can be applied to both fiction and non-fiction reading selections.
The vocabulary centers can be used for content-related or reading-related vocabulary.
Each center includes a sign that you can glue onto a folder as a cover sign and students can grab the activity copies out of the folder.
With the kit you will receive teacher directions and an explanation of each center.
