I use this during independent reading and students also use this at home.
On a post it, students set a goal for themselves and record when they began reading and when they stopped. When they are done, they are to complete a reflection in their notebook and reflect on their reading time.
When I check in with students during our conference time, this is a great way to read up on their goals and learn about their reading.
You can collect these papers when you confer with each student and add it to their file.
