The first page is meant for adults (i.e. volunteers or aides) other than the teacher to use when conferencing with a student for reading workshop. It offers a basic structure of what to look/ listen for as the child reads and questions to ask. The teacher can then use this page as an anecdotal record. The second page is for the teacher to use as a checklist with additional space for running records or other anecdotal notations. The latter is aligned with standards-based reporting.
