This is BINGO at its best for reinforcing the major concepts in reading! Students create their own BINGO cards using words from a given list. The caller will read the definition, and the players must identify the word and cover it on their card.
The terms include plot (rising action, falling action, etc), main idea, inference, point of view, figurative language (metaphors, similes, idioms), conflict, and many more essential terms!
My students love playing this reading BINGO! It is great for a fun activity to review for state testing! The definition cards can also be printed and given to students for study materials.
(Also, once a student gets a BINGO, I let them become the caller. This gives me a chance to walk around and observe or pull my struggling students for small group!)
