Sometimes you just need a worksheet to help with your teaching! That is what you will find in this package. While teaching Ready Gen I realized the workbook provided was not enough to make sure the kids were actually "getting" the information taught. So, I created these worksheets and helpful additions to the program.
To keep it aligned to the Common Core, I have used the same wording the authors use for the prompts only. I have put everything into a nice package which will make it easier to follow the program in your classroom.
(THIS IS A PART OF THE COMPLETE UNIT 2A WORKSHEETS THAT I HAVE POSTED HERE:
YOU CAN SAVE MONEY BY BUYING THE WHOLE UNIT AT ONCE.)
In this file you will find the following:
Unit 2 Module A Lessons 1-4 worksheets for Alexander Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday and A Chair for My Mother.
Reading Prompts that you use after the Read Aloud:
I have my children glue these strips into their Reading Notebooks so they have plenty of room to answer the prompt. I provided many on the page so you can print and then cut them apart to have the children glue it in their notebooks.
Text Based Vocabulary Worksheets: To practice independently the vocabulary words for the lesson.
Close Reading Vocabulary Sheets: If you would like the children to independently find the meaning of the words.
Graphic Organizers: I have made the graphic organizers that go along with these lessons with the proper wording included.
Writing in Response to Reading Sheet- I provided many on a page so children can glue the strip into their Reading Notebooks.
Team Talk Prompts- I have provided 3 on a page. You can give them to the children so they have the question in front of them to refer to.
Grammar Worksheets-For skills taught
Writing Practice Prompts: I typed many on a page so children can glue the strip into their Writing Notebooks.
I hope you can find these helpful in your classroom.
