Ready, Set, Action will have you and your clients roaring with laughter while practicing /l/ in the initial, medial, and final position of words. This activity gives your client the chance to act as a "News Reporter" and report the latest breaking news.
Three baggies will be laid out with specific categories of words inside. Clients will have to pick one character, one verb, and one noun to create a sixty second story. (Pick more for extra fun and practice!) All word strips feature /s/ in varied positions. Clinicians may use their smart phone or preferred device to record their clients reporting the breaking news. For example, perhaps Buzz Lightyear mailed a lollipop and a balloon to a lion that sunk in a pool. The possibilities are endless!
About Karen George and Chicago Speech Therapy:
My name is Karen George, MS, CCC-SLP, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Chicago, Illinois. 8 years ago, I opened Chicago Speech Therapy, a premier private practice in the city. Since we opened our practice, we have grown to a thriving multidisciplinary team of more than 100 employees offering speech, feeding, ABA, and occupational therapy, as well as an on-site therapeutic preschool and kindergarten, CST Academy. I am incredibly proud of our team and the incredible gains we help children make each and every day. I hope you find my materials beneficial in your practice as well!
