Product Description
This is a project that integrates art and the math concepts of transformations (rotations, reflections, translations) and coordinate graphing. This would be a good performance task to use as an assessment after students have learned about transformations. Using the MYP Design Cycle, students will create their own original Logo design that includes at least two transformations. They will graph their logo on the coordinate grid and identify the coordinates of certain points before and after transformation.

Students are also required to write reflections and justifications throughout the creation process. Also included is a rubric that evaluates on the design, create, and evaluate process as well as a student example.

This is a pdf file, but if you would like the word document so you can make adjustments according to your specific needs with the lesson, just let me know.
