Description

Make your life easier! Just print and go with these activities for Social Studies and Science. This set includes these March themes: Read Across America Day, making slime, daylight savings, Vernal equinox, Music in our Schools month, St. Patrick's Day, family heritage, sound, and goods and services!

Why use Science and Social Studies Activities for March? We spend so much time on reading, writing, and math, there’s barely time left for the FUN subjects of science and social studies. These activities are fun, hands-on, and require minimal prep. Most require little or no materials, just print and go!

How it works: This resource has printables to accompany 4 Science lessons and 4 Social Studies activities, each with a seasonal theme. Most of the work and organization are done for you! There are reading activities with thinking questions, hands-on experiments, sorting, mapping, and partner activities, all designed to be easy on the teacher and engaging for the students.

What’s included: I developed these printables to make it easier to squeeze these important subjects into my second-grade classroom. March brings Read Across America Day, Daylight Savings, St. Patrick's Day, the first day of spring, and Music in Our Schools Month. These printables practice these important skills: reading nonfiction text, Science Process skills: predicting, categorizing, observing, and reading maps.
