This assessment is meant to be taken after reading Pecos Bill, the version written by Mary Pope Osborne. Students will demonstrate understanding of the story and why it qualifies as a proper tall tale.
This assessment is a mix of written response and multiple choice questions. I've found that my students' written responses take a long time to grade, and wanted an option that would be shorter for me. Also, I wanted them to have experience answering questions similar to their Unit Assessments and standardized tests (with multiple choice, and 'choose 'two' questions). I also hope this will help struggling writers show their comprehension abilities.

Goes great with ReadyGEN, but would work well with any Tall Tale Unit.
