This includes ReadyGen Grade 3 lessons 4-11 ONLY. Reading is one page, writing is another page. This is for "The Case of the Gasping Garbage."
I have it sized so it can be cut out and glued onto a notebook sheet vertically.
Included in each Ready Gen lesson:
-All learning objectives
-Assigned daily reading
-Questions from the "second read" listed as the "Focus"
-Language (derived from the ESL and Scaffolded Strategies handbook)
-Vocabulary: pre-defined (and with page numbers for most words)
-Team Talk question and a lead to help the child begin the conversation
-Writing in Response to Reading assignment
(The reading or language analysis is not included - I wanted to limit this to one page and felt that the activity for that section will be glued in right after which would suffice).
It was suggested on the website that the children can possibly take home the team talk question for homework. Other teachers I know have sent home the Writing in Response to Reading. If you choose to do this, it is already on the lesson so the children have easy access at home.
I also use this so the parents can review what the children learned at home. I informed them that they can re-discuss the second read questions, vocab, etc to strengthen the home-school connection and their comprehension of the lesson.
This is a great way to differentiate for the needs of different learners and save time by avoiding children having to copy notes.
