Did you know there is a carousel located in Harlem, New York that was designed by kids and for kids? It is called the Totally Kids Carousel and it was created by artist, Milo Motollo.

Why not give your students the chance to create their own mini-version of this amazing carousel?

Challenge Question:

Can your group create your very own version of the Totally Kid Carousel in Harlem, NY?

Materials: (per group)

6 straws or 6 bamboo skewers
Model magic air-dry clay (white)
Misc. craft supplies (feathers, beads, etc.)
2 cardboard pizza rounds
Water-based markers
Scissors, glue, tape

This pack includes background information about the Totally Kids Carousel as well as the STEM Challenge sheets needed to complete this highly engaging challenge!
