Description

Real World Math - Budgeting can be fun with this Party Planning Project! Your students will be given the challenge to plan a party for 10 people with the budget of $10. They will be given a budget page and a spending page. Using the "Grocery Story" page and "Party Store" page, students will go shopping and decide what items they think are most important for hosting a party.

This simple budget project uses dollar bills and ten frames to make spending the money less abstract.

Your students will begin to understand beginning budget skills with the real life math project and will love it!

This project is a very similar version to my other Real-Life Math projects. If you like this freebie, you will LOVE my other projects, too!

I used this project with students who are really struggling with math skills. They were engaged and seemed to enjoy it.

I used this project as an extension and enrichment project for my early finishers. This project required students to apply their knowledge and not just use basic computation, this was a big hit for many of my second graders!
