In this activity, students will use a produce list similar to a grocery store flyer to answer questions on 24 task cards.
Students will use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to solve the problems using money (decimals). This activity is very challenging and will require the students to think very carefully through the multi-step problems. They will have to decide which math function to use to solve the problems.
This engaging activity can be used in a variety of ways. It can be a warm up/review activity, an assessment, a math center, small groups, or whole group. Perfect for an extension for students who need more of a challenge.
If used whole group you can either play Scoot where you have the ability to control the amount of time students have to work the problems and to keep everyone moving and engaged. You can also give a set time for all students to complete all task cards and allow them to roam and answer the problems.
This includes colored task cards as well as black and white task cards to print to save on color ink.
