These problems are based on “real world” scenarios involving division. Here are some examples of problems included in this collection:
Sweet Treats Donut Shop made 245 donuts this morning. If they want to put 6 donuts into each box, how many full boxes of donuts will they have to sell?
Joe's mom bought 200 feet of ribbon to make hair bows. If each bow takes 3 feet of ribbon, how many bows will she be able to make?
Chris has 246 photos from his vacation to put into a photo album. Each page of the album will hold 8 photos. How many pages will he use in order to put all his photos in the album?
Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding
There are two choices for printing these 12 problems. The first is to print each problem landscape with 2 problems on a page (same problem twice). These pages are designed to be cut in half to save on paper. I like to use these as morning work doing 1 problem a day. I have also included the same 12 problems as a 3 page worksheet activity to be done as a single assignment or homework. An answer key is included.
This zip file contains the cover, 12 pages with 12 different math division problems. 2 pages with the answers, and 1- 3 page document with all 12 problems.
PLEASE Let me know if you find any errors, so I can fix them. I have gone over and over these but you know how sometimes no matter how many times you read over something, an error can still get missed.
