Real World Problem Solving Task Cards: Level 3 Subtracting Decimals Word Problems
This series was designed based on an in depth analysis of 6th - 8th grade released test questions from the last three years. It offers an individualized comprehensive instructional plan that provides a sequential differentiated approach to developing rigorous real world problem solving skills along with mastery of operations involving decimals.
Level 3 Concepts, Skills, and Applications
• Subtracting decimals (one step word problems)
• Key words: difference, remaining, is left
Two-Sided Problems Solving Task Cards provide the practice and immediate feedback needed for students to develop mastery.
Contents include 18 two-sided problem solving Task cards.
(problem on one side / answer on the back) Recommend printing cards at each level on different colored card stock and laminating.
This series has proven to be an effective tool when modifying lessons for remedial students and providing differentiated tutoring.
After having received a lesson specific to each level, students work problems and check their answers which are on the back of each card. If a student learns an answer is not correct he/she can reference their Review Cards for a quick independent reteach. After a student has independently gotten 3 or 4 problems correct he/she can request testing out which should occur the next day / session. (testing out on the same day does not demonstrate mastery)
note: Cards can be printed without answers as needed
