Ready to start sorting with your students? Here's an easy way to get them started!
Designed for 3-5 year old children, this sorting task asks students to sort by shape using illustrations of real world items. For example, the circle page would have photos of a wheel, a clock, etc. I would glue the full sheets into a file folder and have a simple file folder game to start introducing the concept of sorting (the skill I usually introduce after we have mastered matching). This set includes circle, square, rectangle, diamond, triangle, and oval. All pages and colors are included so you can have your students sort by different combinations of colors just arrange them however you'd like. Created by *miss kim designs* a store for the unique learners in your life. Instructions for creating the matching task are included in the .pdf file.
These sorting tasks are perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Each book is interactive and focuses on new vocabulary. To see my inventory of adapted books, click here
