Looking for ideas to get your students using Spanish outside the classroom? Look no further! I've scoured the Internet and my own memory bank to compile a list of over 50 real world tasks that appeal to all students! Hitting on Gardner's Multiple Intelligences as well as various levels of Bloom's for a differentiated learning experience.
Use this list any way you please. I give it to students and each week they are responsible for one task, submitted via Google Slides template (also in my store!). They reflect on how they did during the task, any vocabulary they learned, etc. I allow each task to be chosen twice throughout the year to keep students interested and to allow them to do more tasks they enjoy (hello, student-centered learning!)
Some example ideas:
*Watch one of your favorite Netflix shows with Spanish subtitles and write about some words you learned and words you recognized that we’ve learned in class.
*Write a letter to your future self in Spanish.
*Read a children’s book from the teacher’s library and write about the main idea of the book in English as well as some new words you learned.
*Find a traditional Hispanic recipe and make it. Take pictures and give your opinion on the dish.
*Create your own meme in Spanish.
