Product Description
This resource is designed to help you teach your students to identify pictures as either depicting a real event or item or a pretend event or item. There are 10 worksheets, each with 4 pictures, arranged in dyads. One of the dyad reflects a real item or event (could happen) and one reflects a pretend one (could not happen) Written instructions ask the student to circle the word “real” or “pretend” for each picture. There is no particular level difficulty to the worksheets so you may do them in any order. There is a Real vs. Pretend Sorting Mat on page 14. Print and laminate the Mat as well as print and laminate all the pictures. Give your student up to 8 pictures, 4 real, 4 pretend and have them sort them out onto the mat/squares provided.
