¡Hola! This activity aligns with Realidades 1 5A, but can be used by any Spanish teacher who is teaching family member vocabulary.
Answer key provided. Students are given the blank family tree chart to fill in as it is read to them, and then they can check their work. I have used this as a listening activity in class and also as part of the chapter assessment. I also have students follow up with each other by asking questions such as "Who is the father of _______________? etc. You may also wish to add more details such as appearance or what s/he likes to do, which appears in 5B. I have also had students take this home to use as a homework assignment where students write a paragraph using possessive adjectives. In this case, I make them "Diana" so my, his, her, their and our can be incorporated. It is excellent to review, and sometimes as a follow-up next class, they can substitute their own family information in and give a quick oral presentation.
Thanks... and make sure to check out all of my Realidades 1 materials!
