The ability to use the infinitive verb in conjunction with “helping verbs” gives our students a command of the language that is impossible to achieve in any other way. I have noticed that these patterns simply make them more fluent. This chapter is the perfect opportunity to review some of the patterns that we have used throughout the Realidades text. The lesson also notes the pages that the students can use to review each concept in the Realidades text. This is ideal because it gives the students more practice with some of the older patterns while they learn new grammar concepts.
********This lesson explains several of the most common uses of the infinitive verb in double verb sentences, then it asks the students to think about when and why they would use these formulas, and finally, it asks the students to translate a few sentences using the patterns they have just reviewed.*********
I have included an answer key.
Also, the lesson is a word document so that you can tailor it to your specifications. However, sometimes this creates some difficulties in downloading; please let me know if you need me to send you a pdf.
