Want to break out of the boring, sit-and-write-the-translation vocab list for your kids? Get them up and moving with this "scavenger hunt" where they have the English and they have to find the picture to get the Spanish word.
All you have to do is print it out (in color or not), cut the picture sheets (3 per 8.5 x 11 page) , and put them up at random around your room. You'll get the kids up and moving, and they'll have to interact more with the words than they would if they were just copying them straight from the book or a list.
It takes my students about 15 minutes (not including explanation) to get the majority of the words written down, and then they can group or pair up to get anything they may have missed. I put on some salsa music and make it a little bit of a party!
This activity has all of the words from Realidades 1 chapter 2B except "disquete" because I think it's an outdated word that they won't have a use for. If you want to add it, it would be easy to do in Word.
