These dialogue cards are used to practice commands and the present progressive tenses. There are 14 commands and 14 present progressive answers. Half the class was given the command and the other half was given the present progressive answer. I hand out the numbered cards and give them a minute to look it over and figure out what they need to say in Spanish. Then I randomly call a numbered card and they "present" their mini dialogue.
I gave them the prompts to ensure that most of the vocabulary from the chapter was being used. It gets tiring hearing the same places over and over. I had them cut and laminated to use again.
After this activity, they had to make up their own dialogue cards in the same fashion. Again, I divided the class into two groups. While it was challenging for a few, they really got creative with their cards.
I hope this works well with your classes.
