This activity is a version of my Chapter 3B introduction. Instead of following a pattern, students pick a line on the tic-tac-toe board to follow. In pairs, students complete three assignments to learn the new vocabulary.
I recommend that you do not assign additional homework on the day you do this in class. Many of the students may have to finish up at home.
