This information gap communicative activity is perfect for ANY beginning class learning about numbers and telling time.
To me most textbooks don't have enough speaking practice for beginners so I hope this fills a gap for you as well.
Students work in pairs. Students are given the scenario of being in a train station in a city in Spain and they need to ask the information desk when certain trains leave/arrive for other Spanish cities.
This will take about 10 minutes... maybe a few more if you double check answers as a class.
I have used this as an oral assessment as well; I have also given it as homework where students need to record their answers and send me a sound bit. You can also give it as a writing assignment in which students practice writing out numbers and the time.
Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to check out my other Realidades 1 and 2 materials, as well as those for Avancemos 1.
Have a great year!
