This Jeopardy-type Powerpoint game reviews the grammar and vocabulary for Realidades 3, 1A. The instructions on the second slide are a modification to the traditional format to increase individual participation because everyone has the opportunity to answer certain questions.
Only materials needed are dice, whiteboard markers and a whiteboard(one of each per group of 4),. The students in each group are competing against each other (not as a team). Each student is A, B, C, or D. But when one member of the group rolls the die, the number rolled tells you which people can compete to answer the question. The teacher says ¡Vamos! and the people allowed to answer reach for the whiteboard marker. The first to reach it must write it correctly on the whiteboard to get the points, or other group members can steal.
It's a powerful activity because you don't have one dominant kid answering every time, and small groups mean more participation.
