In this interactive active speaking and writing activity, students work in pairs to ask questions about their partner's food, exercise, and general health choice, and then summarize the data to create a recommendation in the subjunctive. The kids liked the scaffolded practice with the subjunctive, and enjoy the interactivity with their partner. It is a good guided practice activity in for Realidades 3, Chapter 3.
How it works. Students pair off and conduct a partner poll, based on the questions that are asked. There are questions based on three categories of living. Once the students have answered yes or no, the poller must then make a recommendation based on the answers. At the end of the activity, the student must come up with a self-recommendation based on what their partner suggested.
Students receive subjunctive and vocab practice in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
