This chapter packet will help your students thoroughly understand and use the content for the Realidades 2 3A chapter. These twelve pages contain a variety of activities that can be used as in-class notes, homework, warm-ups and partner activities.

This zip file contains both an editable Microsoft Word version and a PDF of the packet. You can download the preview to see thumbnail images of each page, but here are descriptions of each page as well:

Page 1: Sheet for taking notes on the chapter vocabulary

Page 2: Students read clues and fill in the blanks using the chapter vocabulary and a word bank

Page 3: Reviewing phrases about time (so students can use "se abre" and "se cierra") and writing sentences about shopping

Page 4: Students read clues and fill in the blank with more vocabulary, but instead of a word bank, they see exactly how many letters each answer should contain. At the end, all of the answers reveal a secret message.

Page 5: Guided practice with Direct Object Pronouns

Page 6: Practice re-writing sentences with DOPs

Page 7: Practice with "ir" and "ser" and in the preterite tense

Page 8: True/false and translating sentences with "ir" and "ser"

Page 9: Notes and practice with hacer, tener, estar, and poder

Page 10: A fun partner game (with dice) to practice the above four irregular verbs

Page 11: A crossword puzzle to practice all of the grammar concepts from the chapter

Page 12: Students read a story about two brothers having mishaps while running errands in town, and then they answer twelve true/false statements about the story and record which paragraph indicates the answer. While there are many ways to approach reading stories in class, I include the step-by-step guide of how I have my students read and work through stories in class.

Pages 13-24: Answer keys that you could read out loud, write on the board, or snip (by using the snipping tool) onto a Powerpoint or Smartboard file.
