This is an active way to review the vocabulary and grammar concepts from the Realidades 5A chapter, and it requires very little prep time. Simply print two sets of the included words (each set on a different color), divide your class into two teams, and you're ready to go!
Pass out a set of words to each team, and make sure each student has about three words. Then, read one of the provided English sentences, and have each team race to form the Spanish version in front of the class with their papers.
This Word document has 41 pages of words from Realidades 5A (see the last thumbnail for an example), such as: yo, tengo, nuestra, hermanos, romper, va a, sus, tenemos, gato, etc. It also has one page of 31 English sentences to read (and their Spanish translations that the students should form), plus a detailed instruction sheet. These sentence race games are always a hit in my classes, and I hope your students enjoy playing the game while reviewing the chapter!
