This is an activity I designed to get my students thinking about how they command people to do things in Spanish. The activity focuses on both the "direct commands" that they learn on page 305 and the "indirect commands" that the students learned in previous chapters (like deber + infinitive).
In the activity, students write a letter to their moms to explain the process of forming commands in Spanish. This meta-cognitive step should give them a solid foundation for using these commands. As a teacher, it also gives you the opportunity to informally assess the students, you will know exactly what they understand about the process by simply reading their explanations.
The lesson includes a printable sheet with brief command notes and a short description and explanation of the requirements of the activity. The lesson also includes tips and hints for the teacher on how to make the most of the assignment.
I included both a PDF file, for ease of printing, and a doc file, for ease of editing in this product.
