I love the videos that come with the Realidades textbook series, but feel like there needs to be more activities to do with them. I have created this worksheet packet to fill that need. There is a true/false section and a section where students need to put the events of the video in chronological order.
There is also a section where students evaluate 3 homes and ask their learning partner questions about their features. Additionally, there is a writing opportunity for students to revisit the comparative/superlative structure from 6A.
There is also a short exercise where students read a related poem by Alfonsina Storni. If you are not familiar with the poem or poet, you may wish to read up on it beforehand. Since the document is editable, you can remove that portion. There are also some personal questions in Spanish students can fill out.
This will usually take a class period (50 min) or even more with students viewing the Videohistoria two times, doing the WAVA exercises, and then this handout. If you run out of time, you can assign the poem and/or personal questions for homework.
