Are you tired of all of the torn baggies and envelopes and lost sort pieces to your students’ Words Their Way sorts? This is an awesome solution that I have come across!
The "Really Useful Box" 16 Box Organizer! Once you purchase that (separately) from a big office store, you can use these box labels for your WTW organization! These boxes are durable and great for little and big hands. Just train your students to keep the pieces in the lid or box and only take one out at a time to sort. No more mixed up or lost pieces!
Included in this packet are the numbered owl labels for the box lid (pages 4-5) and the flower numbered labels for the front and back of the box and the back of the cubby holder (pages 6-8). Directions are on pages 2-3, and credits on page 9.
Print and cut out the owl number labels (pages 4-5) and tape them on the inside of the Really Useful Box lids.
Print and cut out the 3 sets of flower numbers (pages 6-8). Tape one set on the back of the cubby where that number box will be kept. Tape the other two sets on either side of the Really Useful Box.
I assign each of my students a number (in alphabetical order) and they know to get their numbered box each time we study WTW. I have successfully done this with my kindergarteners, so have faith that even the young ones can do it!
I really hope this helps your WTW organization! Enjoy!
