Description

Rebus Sentences to teach writing. This 8 week unit features 9 sight words: see, I, a, like, my, the, to, go, play. Ideal for RTI Writing.

Rebus Sentences are a powerful learning tool for students who have little to no concepts of print skills, no beginning sound identification, and little to no letter ID accuracy. Despite these circumstances there is ABSOLUTELY no reason these students should fall behind in writing as well! Rebus writing will help these students tremendously.

Ideal for Pre-K, TK, and the first 2 months of Kindergarten.

With this cute, 99 page unit your emergent writers will get plenty of practice with the rebus writing concept and pattern sentences by the end of the 6th week. Weeks 7 and 8 are for weaning students off of rebus sentences and more into using a traditional word bank instead of drawing an image to represent a word.
