While introducing new concepts in class, students may be required to recall prior knowledge in order to grasp the new material. Using this graphic organizer, students are able to record concepts and use it as a reference throughout the school year. I personally require students to keep it in the front of their binders so it's easily accessible at all times. Students fill it in at their own discretion based on their own understanding, unless otherwise noted by the teacher. An enlarged "class cheat sheet" is placed in the front of the room that is identical to this graphic organizer and is filled in when I find that all students are struggling recalling a concept.
