This test is the tenth in a series of ten tests that cover all of Georgia's 5th Grade Social Studies standards. The test includes a variety of question types covering America's involvement in the Middle East over the past several decades and the end of the cold war. I have used this test along with other tests in this series very successfully. I currently teach at a Title I school and still had nearly 70% of my students exceed state standards in 2014. Obviously there is far more to my students' success than just a test, but I know that if students can show mastery of the material on these tests, they have a firm understanding of Georgia's 5th grade social studies standards. This test can be used by teachers in other states, but it is designed specifically to measure mastery of Georgia's social studies standards.
This test is based on these 5th Grade Georgia Standards:
SS5H9 The student will trace important developments in American since 1975.

b. Explain the impact the development of the personal computer and Internet has had on American life.
SS5E1f Give examples of technological advancements and their impact on business productivity during the continuing development of the United States (such as the development of the personal computer and the Internet).
